Little and Large were formed in 1962 when Syd little and Eddie large decided to form a partnership. They started their career working the north west working men club scene as well as pubs as singers and decided to go professional in 1963. They concentrated on comedy from this point onwards.
Their career went into top gear after appearing on and winning Opportunity Knocks in 1971. Very soon after this they had their own T.V show called The Little and large Tellyshow.
Syd Little was generally seen as being the straight/serious half of the duo whileEddie Large was generally the funny half.
The pair split when Eddie Large found out he would need a heart transplant.
Eddie Large sadly died on April 2nd 2020 after contracting COVID-19.
