Hell is Harmony came to life in 2008. After writing enough material the band started gigging around Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth), always receiving good reviews and gaining a group of faithful followers. The band’s music can be described as an energetic mixture of many styles, predominantly hardcore, metal and some elements of rap.
In 2011 a debut album was recorded. The album was entitled “Opium” A promo video was recorded for the title song.
In 2012 the band had a chance to tour Scotland with a legend of Polish dark-goth-rock scene – Closterkeller. A few months later the band went to Poland and played a set at a festival supporting, among others, Decapitated, None and Trauma. In October the band was awarded the title of “Tattoo Jam 2012 Band of the Year” by winning Battle of The Bands at Tattoo Jam 2012 in Doncaster.
Continuing on the wave of new found energy Hell is Harmony wrote 5 new songs for an EP entitled “One Day”. The EP was self-released on 5.5.2013. To promote the EP a single entitled “Tall & Proud” has been chosen and a video clip was recorded for that song. The video premiered on 2 August 2013 and can be watch on the band’s YouTube channel. “One Day” was well received by people from the music circles as well as by the general public.
In June 2013 Hell is Harmony performed at the second edition of Les-Fest, and from the reviews, feedback and general chit-chat the guys learned that their performance was hailed as one of the highlights of the first day of the festival.
Hell is Harmony also reached the top 6 bands in the Bloodstock’s Metal 2 the Masses competition.
